7th Grade students in Mr. Buchter's science classes have been busy designing, experimenting, and building "popsicle stick bridges." Once the students complete their design, they would test the strength and durability by hanging and adding weight until it collapsed. This real-world experience provided a great learning opportunity and experience in the world of science, utilizing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). 1st Place supported 40.92 pounds of weight and was built by Emma Delp, Maria Maurer, Addie Nave, and Sadie Wallace. 2nd Place supported 18.69 pounds and was built by Braelyn Crouch, Amelia Griese, and Makenna Williams. 3rd Place supported 16.11 pounds and was built by Johnny Clapp, Genna Dugan, Caytlynn Piper, and Julia Sanders

Mrs. Miller's 7th grade FCS (Family and Consumer Science) class recently had a lesson on sewing buttons with the help from wonderful volunteers. The students then made their own sock puppets and created skits for the Project Help Preschool students. The skits all had a positive message and the littles really enjoyed it. After the puppet show, the 7th grade students had the opportunity to play with the preschoolers in their centers. Thank you to the volunteers who helped the students sew their buttons and make their sock puppets! Thank you to the teachers at Project Help for allowing us to come in and present our skits to the students. It was a fun learning experience!

We received all the popcorn and tumblers sold today! The items are in large boxes, so if your student(s) sold popcorn and if possible, I ask that they be picked up anytime today, or tomorrow during normal business hours. The tumblers ordered will be with the popcorn boxes and labeled appropriately. If you need copies of your order or have issues with your order, please let us know in the office. I am super proud of all that helped with our fundraiser, which will allow us to better reward and supply MJHS students and staff for all that they do! Thanks Mr. Maxwell
