Junior High Softball practice for Monday, July 28, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., will be in McNary Gym today do to the heat.

The parent meeting will follow from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m. in McNary Gym.

Please have the girls wear tennis shoes.

The Junior High Softball "Open Gym" scheduled for Thursday, July 24, has been cancelled.

Official practice begins on Monday, July 28, from 3:30 to 5:15 p.m., at the Varsity Softball Diamond.

A parent meeting will follow from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m.

JH Softball is open to all incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls, who are full-time Marshall Schools students.

All will need a current Athletic Physical before they can begin practice. Physicals are good for one calendar year.

School Physical Clinics at Cork Medical Center are Scheduled for Thursday, June 12, and Wednesday, August 13, 4-6 p.m. School Physicals are required yearly for all who play a school sponsored sport, and students enrolling in an Illinois School for the first time. This is a joint statement from the Marshall Police Department and Marshall Community School District. On 5-30-2025 we were informed of the arrest of a past graduate of Marshall High School in Evansville, Indiana, where the subject currently resides. The information shared with us from the Evansville Police Department is that the former student had in her possession incendiary devices with a plan to deploy the devices at her former school. The subject remains in custody on the charge of possession of a destructive device. We will remain in communication with the Evansville Police Department for the latest information involving this situation. We are grateful for the quick thinking of the St. Vincent Police Department and investigation conducted by the EPD Bomb Technicians. The safety of our community, students and staff is always our top priority and we remain committed to ensure this even when school is not in session. We will keep you informed of any further developments as they become available.

Olivia Strohm - Discus Aubree Shaffer - 400M Run Grace Thompson - 800M and 1600M Run 7th Grade Boys 4x400M relay (Max Eastin, Eirninn Gettinger, Lawsen Crouch, and Talon Edmonds (Alternates - Macallister Richardson and Quentin Shaffer) 8th grade girls 4x400M Run - Aubree Shaffer, Lilly Ross, Grace Thompson, Peyton Edwards Olivia will throw Friday and all others will compete Saturday. The MJHS Robotics Team competed recently in the Illinois 4H Robotics competition. The team was made up of Anderson Williams, Griffin Medsker, Evan Setzer, Kayden Gembe, Gatlin Nicholson. They competed in Division 2, the most difficult division and performed very well.

Reminder! Academic Awards Night is May 12th at 7:00 PM in the Forsythe Performing Arts Center. A list of students who will receive an award has been posted in each of the hallways. On Tuesday, May 13th, we will host our Athletic Awards Night at 7:00 PM in the Forsythe Performing Arts Center. Students who finished a sport in good standing will be recognized during this event. We hope to see you there to recognize the hard work our students and student athletes have put in this year!

Congratulations, Coach Norris and the Lion Cubs Scolastic Bowl team, on their Regional Championship tonight! the Cubs are now 29-1 on the season and will travel to Lawrenceville on Monday, May 5th for the Sectional.
