This Tuesday the Cubs cross country team had several strong performances in Paris. Where the Cubs won the meet with the lowest score of 34 points. Standout runner Griffin Thompson led the squad, placing second with an impressive 12:26 time.

Runners Chase Paulsen, Grayson Edwards, and Emmet Maurer also had great performances. With Paulsen finishing with a solid 12:58 time and placing 4th, and Paulsen and Edwards finishing back to back in 6th and 7th place with times of 12:58.61 and 13:33.86 respectively.

Sam Wernz finished with a 15:38 time placing 15th, Owen Ockerman finished 16th with a 15:44 time, Isaiah York ran a 16:20.78 time placing 19th, and Lucas Clark anchored the team, finishing with a time of 19:27.77 and placing 32nd.

The Lady Cubs also had a very strong showing placing second with a score of 48 points. Star Junior Lion Brynna Farrell led the field with a blazing fast 14:34 time, gapping the field by a whopping 15.5 seconds! Lady Cubs Caroline Nave and Molly Cooper also had strong races, with Nave finishing 6th overall with a 17:10 time and Cooper finishing 9th with a 17:52 time.

Lady Cubs Carrigan Crumrin finished in 20:11.65 finishing 17th, and Charlotte Reed anchored the Lady Lions, finishing 25th with a 26:54 time.

Both teams had great opening performances for the season! If the Cubs keep up what they did this Tuesday, they are going to be serious contenders come this October!
