On Monday, the Lady Lions lost the 3rd place contest of the Dieterich Holiday Basketball Tournament to the host Maroons 57-63.
The Lions, playing without Lynn Welborn, trailed the Movin’ Maroons 35-27 at halftime. Marshall came back with an 18-16 third quarter to pull within 51-45 but the two teams played to a 12-12 final quarter.
For Marshall, Harper Richardson led the way with 17 points, followed by MacKenzie Davis with 16.
Lynn Welborn was named to the All-Tournament Team.
