On Monday, November 24th, Marshall High School student athlete Garrett Pugh signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Lincoln Trail College beginning in 2026-2027.  Garrett signed the letter with members of his family, MHS baseball head coach Donald Miller, teammates, and friends in attendance.

Garrett LTC as a four-year letterman in baseball.  Last season, Garrett led the Lions baseball team in hitting with a batting average of .424, a slugging percentage of .763, and an OPS of 1.327.  Garrett also led the team with 6 home runs.  Ordinarily a third baseman, Garrett also worked this past season as a pitcher for the Big Red.  On the mound, Garrett was 2-0 in 11 appearances with an ERA of 4.58.  In 26 innings of work, Garrett struck out 41 batters.

After this coming season, LTC will graduate 20 baseball players, so Garrett will be expected to step in right away for the Statesmen and be a run producer as a true freshman.  His experience in playing many years of travel ball has prepared him to take the next step in his athletic journey while he continues his academic studies with an emphasis in Business Marketing.

Congratulations to Garrett and his family for this memorable achievement.
