Welcome to third grade! My name is is Miranda Sims. I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I'm looking forward to a great school year. I live in Marshall with my husband, Joel, and our two boys Clay and Clark. I grew up here. I attended North School from kindergarten to sixth grade. My class was the last class to have the opportunity to do so. I love that I get to teach in my home town and develop relationships with people in the community.

I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2005. I previously taught first grade at Crestwood School in Paris, Illinois. I was hired in 2009 and taught fifth grade for seven years. I enjoy being with kids of all ages.

My goal is to create life long learners. I hope to inspire my students to be respectful, courteous, and above all kind.
