As well as being a business teacher at Marshall High School, I am a wife to Wes and a mother of two boys, Hampton and Bryce. We live between Marshall and Westfield in a little country house that once belonged to my husband’s Grandpa. I was blessed to be able to stay home for 9 years, raising my boys. They are both in school now, so I am continuing on with my career.
I attended Lakeland College and then Eastern Illinois for Business Education. I have worked several different kinds of jobs, including secretarial, data entry, factory work, food service, private computer lessons and more. I taught at Clay City, IL for two years as a keyboarding/computer teacher until a reduction in staff provided me an opportunity to stay home to raise my boys. I returned to the education scene in Casey in 2016 & 2017 as an aide. In the fall of 2017, I took a position at MHS as one of two business teachers. Marshall Schools' administrators have supported my focus on continuing and strengthening partnerships with local businesses to prepare our students for entering the workforce.
